She crushed the picture as hard as she could, her hand shaking with the effort. She closed her eyes tight, letting the happy memories flow through her mind again, knowing that she would never again hear Rainbow say--
“Gilda?”
The voice startled the griffin, but only slightly, as she opened her eyes, wondering who had the audacity to interrupt her grief. Suddenly, her mind did a sort of double-take, and that voice... She spun her head, still crushing the picture with one hand as she hastily tried to wipe a tear from her cheek with the other. Standing there, with a red cap and a present in her hand, was Rainbow Dash.
“Um,” Dash stuttered quietly, clearly being careful to allow Gilda her self-consciousness as always, “You okay?” She was blushing slightly, as if embarrassed to be asking the question.
Gilda threw caution to the wind, and threw herself at the pegasus pony, evoking a soft grunt from the impact. She threw her arms around Rainbow, a tear of happiness now drifting slowly down her cheek, and she couldn't help but whisper, “I miss you,” to her closest friend.
“I missed you, too,” Rainbow whispered back, clearly not wanting to interrupt the moment. Gilda knew her reputation, but also knew that Rainbow Dash meant more to her than anyone else in the world. She pulled back, meeting the pony's eyes, and Dash handed Gilda the present, cupping the griffin's talons with her hooves.
And then they both fucked. |
