Please check the MLP:FiM Thread Locator and

a new thread. /co/ doesn't mind if we stay in
a general thread, but the biggest complaint I
see from them is that there are multiple threads.

A new general should not be made until the official
general is on the brink of autosaging into 404 hell,
and is at the image limit (150 pics). Once a new one
is established, it should be posted at the end of the
old general and everyone needs to herd themselves to
the next.

Obviously trolls & haters cannot be helped.

New System: When the old general thread dies, the
general thread image is to be deleted and placed
onto the new one. Old general will be archived.

Archive system can only pick up threads with the
correct keywords, MLP, Pony, Ponies and things
along them lines work.

Applebuck Season. It's ALWAYS been the best starting point.

Actually, truth be told, I still think that episode 1 is the best place to start, as long as you give the show up to episode 4. It gives you a complete look at the series. Introduces the characters, a decent but not steller pair of episodes, ending with one of their best, Appleback Season.

But if you were going to judge the show based on a single episode, then AS is the place to start.

Anyway, me here again. So I watched that episode with the african zebra, and it's besically what I expected it to be: a show about ponies doing nothing. Kind of like an american version of moeshit. The jokes weren't funny at all (durr hurr that pony has a deep voice FUNNIEST SHIT EVAR!!1), the voice acting was gratting, the animation is questionable (looked decent in some shots, akward in others), and the script is just bad Bad BAD. The characters are nothing more than the stereotypes you see in other cartoons meeting up and annoying the hell out of each other. You have the smart purple one, the country hick orange one, the toboy blue one, the mall crazy white one, the "Caaaraaaazzzy" pink one, and the the silent yellow one. If your character traits can be summed up in a few words, you don't have a good character. TBH, the only difference this show has from the old one is new character designs.

Thank you Lauren "Showrecker" Faust for bringing another abomination onto television. You should really stop being a director and let your more talented husband take charge at this piece of shit.

Ehh, personally, I've never recommended Bridle Gossip (IE, the zebra one) as the show starter. It's great when you already know the characters, since most of the jokes involve subverting their character traits, but without that pre-knowledge, the audience won't quite understand why HURRDURR DEEP VOICE FUNNY.

Anyways, my point is I think the fans fuck up in recommending that one first. But, yeah, I'm getting a sense that you probably won't enjoy the show. You've kind of now set up a sour mood that the show would have to work that much harder to overcome.

So, I'm seeing all these comments about they Grand Galloping Gala, about how it supposedly hasn't happened yet and yet tickets had been sent out for a while now and we've even gone through winter and back to fall and the day of the Gala still hasn't arrived. There's two explanations for this:

1) It seems the showrunners just don't have a very good sense of keeping track of time. I've noticed a lot of anachronistic shit in this show just by paying attention, like how in the episode "The Mare in the Moon", the cutie mark crusaders can be seen huddling together in fear. Remember, this is before ANY OF THEM MET, OR EVEN KNEW THAT EACH OTHER EXISTED. Obviously, there is a loose continuity in Friendship is Magic, but it also seems to be operating on a timeline in which all events occur at roughly the same time. Or...

2) The easiest and most obvious explanation could be that the episodes are being aired out of order in terms of production dates. This is the most common with in the world when it comes to cartoons, and when you're dealing with a show like this one that has a lot of seasonal themes, dissonance is inevitable.

Just got to the first commercial break. It's been a good episode so far. The song was really impressive. My first laugh was when Rainbow Dash fell through Rarity's roof and everpony's like, "Hi Rainbow Dash!" completely ignoring Rarity's broken table and roof. Well, I just saw this episode.

Gave me a bitter taste in my mouth at first, but then I got a delicious aftertaste that completely made the rest of the episode worth it, pending those last few seconds.

It was a great episode. And then I realized, it was that inevitable "Fashion" episode you see in EVERY single girl's demographic show, yet it didn't make me utterly cringe.
