02/02/11(Wed)11:37 No.23129639>>23129326 If she really doesn't have to raise the sun, this story better cover how she ever got that idea in the first place. She wouldn't have done what she thought she needed to do to raise the sun every single day for centuries or more without a really good reason.
Also, a fun twist would be that it somehow turns out she does raise the sun, just maybe not in the way she thought, or possibly after a thousand years of raising, it built up enough momentum to go on its own for a little while.
Or, grimdark twist, she commits suicide in despair and it turns out that she really is the Sun God, but it wasn't her daily ritual that made the sun rise, just her continuing life force, which of course, is gone now. A fact she only realizes on the brink of death at what should have been sunrise, which is greeted by initial joy at finally finding validation in her existence, then dread at realizing she had doomed the whole world along with herself, as she, and all other life, sinks into endless darkness.
Hmm, maybe I'll write the grimdark one myself, that ending sounds pretty cool. |
