 Fluttershy turned away, sighing to herself quietly, wishing she had more courage. Walking back to her home in the forest, she imagined what might happen had she just for once been brave enough to approach him. Perhaps maybe even just make her presence known? No, she was too bashful, shy to the point of always being lonely. She would just have to be content with the company of her smaller animal friends, even if they offered little more than a tiny amount of the social interaction she desired.
As she stepped through the gate to her home, She saw Angel waiting, tapping his feet expectantly, as if she was his servant.
"Oh, sorry Angel, I didnt mean to be gone for so long. I'll get you a carrot right away." She looked down at the bunny with a smile, she actually enjoyed his little game, it made her feel necessary to someone at least.
She pulled a carrot from her garden, which she grew not only as a way to feed her little friends, but also as a pastime, her way keeping to herself and still feeling useful.
"Here you go Angel." She said in a quiet motherly voice, dropping the carrot in front of the bunny, "Now eat slowly, I don't want you to get a tummy ache."
Angel was about to take a bite, when his eyes went wide with fear. He looked up and behind Fluttershy, before dropping the carrot and running off.
"Howdy." A low voice said, coming from behind, and above her.
Fluttershy's heart skipped a beat. She knew the voice, but still she froze momentarily with fear. The tall male pony was right behind her, all of her wishes, and fears, had come by for a visit.
