Twilight - Harry Dresden. Main character, knows lots of magic, sometimes has it backfire, often ends up in weird shit. Fairly obvious choice for Mr. Dresden.
Rarity - Thomas Raith. Both of them work in the fashion industry, and are close to the main character in many ways. Thomas is also fairly generous and plays against type, and always has Twilight/Dresden's back. A more cynical interpretation would have her as Lara Raith, the succubus queen of the White Court. Also, they're both hot as balls.
Applejack - Either Detective SGT Karrin Murphy or both Charity and Michael Carpenter. They're the most badass of the badass normals in both shows, and are both practical and known for level-headedness. Applejack as the Carpenters shows her incredible patience and practical wisdom mixed with loads of inner (and physical) strength, as well as maturity (with forays into impressive stubbornness). As Murphy, she's strong-willed and stubborn to a fault, and is quick to point out things others have missed, as well as being a tough dame.
Rainbow Dash - Molly Carpenter. Besides the multi-colored hair, they're both lazy, a little rebellious, and fiercely loyal, as well as being incredibly talented at one thing. Rainbow is just slothful, knowing her superspeed can handle anything, while Molly believes magic is the answer to everything, and has significant talent in mind magic to back it up. Neither one would leave a pony hanging if they could help it, especially not their friends, no matter how ill-suited they may be to helping.
Pinkie Pie - Mouse. This one was tricky, but they both display levels of awareness and ability that neither should have, and love to play pranks (whether elaborate jokes or simple play at being doggy), as well as hide their true intelligence behind a veil of obfuscating weirdness/dogginess. |
