So what video games would the ponies play?

I see Twilight as mostly playing RPGs, mostly western, with the occasionally Japanese RPG as a guilty pleasure.

Rarity would play the Sims, and possibly MMO's for their awesome Armor. I could see her standing around Iron Forge in a set of vanity armor.

Fluttershy would play more "casual" games. Animal Crossing for sure, possibly Pokemon depending on how well she could get over the "Fighting cute little critters until they knock eachother out" thing.

I can't help but see Pinkie as somebody big into Fighting Games. The split second reactions, the combos, it all suits her.

When Fluttershy arrived, Applebloom was already fast asleep in bed. So Fluttershy just got to sit around and make sure everything was okay. Later that night, she got hungry and found a box full of apple pies. So she used whatever long range communication ponies use when Spike isn't around to ask if she could eat one of the Apple Pies. Of course, Applejack said it was OK, but Fluttershy had one final request… she asked if she could cover up the Celestia statue outside the bedroom window with a blanket or cloth, at the very least close the blinds, because it made her nervous. The phone line was silent for a moment, and Applejack said, "..Take Applebloom and get out of the house…we will call the police. We do not have a Celestia statue." The police found both of them fine and well, plus Derpy trying to remove an ice cream cone stuck to her forehead.

I think Angel discovered the Severing. Fluttershy's death gave him power, as killing her for her kindness was the antithesis.

Over time, he takes out lots of other Ponies, thinking that random slaughter will increase his power. Of the holders of the Elements, he gets Pinkie Pie next, then Twilight (who foolishly believes her magic will stop a deadly rabbit). He even kills Rainbow Dash.

It was almost fascinating to watch. "You never made a move!" Pinkie continued, slowly making her way up. "I dropped all those hints and hints and then some more and before I knew it I didn't know where I'd put them all! And you never said anything!"

She'd finally made it to Rainbow's branch, panting heavily as she laid herself across it, while Dash just looked at her. Pinkie could always do such crazy things.

"I thought you didn't like me!" Pinkie said, now making her way carefully over to Rainbow Dash. "So I met up with Twilight, and we got together and... but I should've tried harder. But I'd tried so hard! Harder than I ever tried to do anything before! So then I met with Twilight, and I thought 'maybe this will be okay' but I wasn't really, and I never meant to hurt you! And... and..."
