[ The Subject of New Threads & The Generals ]

Please check the MLP:FiM Thread Locator and
Archive before going out and about and starting
a new thread. /co/ doesn't mind if we stay in
a general thread, but the biggest complaint I
see from them is that there are multiple threads.

A new general should not be made until the official
general is on the brink of autosaging into 404 hell,
or is at the image limit (150 pics). Once a new one
is established, it should be posted at the end of the
old general and everyone needs to herd themselves to
the next.

Obviously trolls & haters cannot be helped.

New System: When the old general thread dies, the
general thread image is to be deleted and placed
onto the new one. Old general will be archived.

THE FIRST MLP WRITEFRIEND/DRAWFRIEND FRIEND-OFF

WHAT? Writefriends take somebody else's drawing, and they write a story about it. Drawfriends take a story, and make a drawing of it. Conceivably you could redraw a drawing, or retell a story, but it should be very creative.

WHY? Friendship is magic. Anybody who contributes to this community knows how good it feels to get a positive reaction. And there's no higher form of flattery then when your contribution inspires another contribution. Also, it strengthens the community, encourages new contributions, provides recognition to lesser known contributors, fleshes out fanon, etc. Also, helps kill the lull between episodes, and it should just be fun.

HOW? Pick something and do your thing. Could be a rough sketch in paint or a single paragraph or two. Or you could really pull your heart into it. It's a big tent, and all inclusive. You can do fluff, shipping, grimdark, retard Derpy, misunderstood Derpy, etc. etc. Please give a title when you post it. Tripcodes not necessary, although it helps to give credit. Mention that it's for the "Friend-off" so we know what to do with it. Better names for this are welcome, if you have one.

WHEN? Post your stuff on Monday. Or at least repost it on Monday if you got impatient and posted it early.

Sitting on the couch, her eyes red and watering, Applebloom world was a mess of traumatic pain. Her big brother loomed over her with a small confident smile across his lips. He lovingly gazed at his little sister and got himself ready to take care of her in way she wouldn't soon forget.
He bent over, caressed her mane and wiped the tears from her yellow cheeks. He then gently whispered to her "don't worry little darling, this won't hurt much." Reaching down between his legs, he grabbed his washcloth.
He dampened his cloth with antiseptic and reached over to hold her down. He placed his firm, strong hoof on her tender knee and began to move. The sudden pain from her scrap caused her to bawl more. He rubbed her knee vigorously. She tried to struggle away, but Big Macintosh kept her in place. "Quit yer fidgeting or it'll hurt worse. Just relax and it'll be over soon."
Few minutes later, the uncomfortable ordeal was over. Applebloom, with one last sniff, stopped crying. When Big Macintosh pulled his wet cloth away, he noticed the small bit of blood staining it. "There now, that wasn't so bad was it?" he said as he opened the band-aid packet. Finishing up, he bent down and kissed her boo-boo. Giving her a hug, he patted her on her head and said "You careful now, ok. Now run along and play." She smiled and trotted off.

Certainly, she embellished the truth for dramatic effect once in a while, but she really WAS the best! ...she winced as she mentally added...second best. A tear rolled down her cheek.

"I see you're feeling lonely too." Trixie raised her head, stunned, and looked around.

"Wh-who's there!? I am the Great and Powerful Trixie!"

"And I am Princess Luna." The dark pony simply laid there on a hill alongside the road.

"Princess...Luna?" Trixie focused her eyes on her. "Trixie has read about you... You're the newly redeemed sister of Celestia, are you not?"

This time, to the surprise of Trixie, it wasn't her tongue. Wings as soft as clouds swept over her chest. She relaxed more and more, sighing gently. The strange lust of the stars seemed to grow quiet, yet strong. It permeated her entire being, singing through her veins like blood.

Then, her horn made contact with her most intimate of places. She gasped, for this was nothing like she had ever felt before. Her loins felt like sparks were fizzing all over her flesh now. Truly, this was the horn that ignited the starry sky. She shuddered and cried out.

Long story made short: the new series (Friendship is Magic) which debuted on the Hub has a strong creative lead behind it, good production values and voice acting, consistent worldbuilding, and is written with the goal in mind that parents should be able to watch the show with their kids and be able to stand - and even enjoy - it.
