01/27/11(Thu)00:54 No.22957665>>22957641 Celestia’s sun was barely rising over the hills in the horizon. The early rising ponies would be getting up soon enough, and Fluttershy was no exception. Just her door creaked open, Applejack dove behind a tree and hoped to Celestia she wasn’t noticed. She got lucky, and Fluttershy began her routine of waking all the animals, feeding them, and so on, not at all aware of her friend’s location. Applejack watched her trot around, feeding the animals various plants and vegetables, some of which she recognized as her own crops, such as the carrots being fed to her rabbits. She had never seen Fluttershy go about her work; no one had, except for during Winter Wrap Up. The meek and shy Pegasus was showing more dedication than Applejack had given her credit for. She began to fly towards the trees Applejack was hiding behind, and in her rush to hide, the unlucky pony stepped on a twig, making a loud enough snapping noise to make Fluttershy yelp in surprise, nearly dropping the worms she was cradling against her body in one hoof. She quickly looked around and Applejack, sensing that the jig was up, stepped out from the cover of the trees. “It’s okay, sugar cube,” she called out. “It’s only me.”
“Oh, Applejack, ummm…” Fluttershy trailed off, but continued, quieter than before. “What are you doing here? It’s awfully early…”
“Well, Fluttershy, sugar cube…” Applejack took a moment to come up with the right thing to say. “Ya see…” |
