01/23/11(Sun)16:33 No.22859877Albuquerque neckbeard here with my latest McDonalds story:
I got Pinkie Pie yesterday at the drive-thru. This gave me enough courage to walk in today, to make sure I didn't get a duplicate.
But not enough to ensure the counter jockey knew it was for me.
"I was told I need to get a Pony toy. But not the pink one," I said, turning my head to scrutinize the display case, "Well, I guess there are three... no, four pink ones."
"Just a second," she replied, then turned to the prepped Happy Meal boxes. Pulling out a Fluttershy, she asked, "Is this okay?"
"Perfect," I said, managing not to squee. I even kept from grinning until I got over to the drink dispensers.
And then...
Driving back, passing a grocery store, I saw an old man stumbling along the sidewalk, barely keeping upright with his cane. He caught himself on a light pole. I turned into the parking lot, and drove around to where he was. He fell down just as I parked.
I and another man helped him into the store, where we asked the manager to call for help. Another concerned citizen was standing there, and she called her roommate, who was a nurse. The man was freely bleeding from his forehead, and his bifocal sunglasses were scratched and bent.
Now panicking internally, I asked the woman if she was confident about not needing my help. She responded that I could leave.
Fluttershy. Kindness. Coincidence? |
