[ The Subject of New Threads & The Generals ]

Please check the MLP:FiM Thread Locator and
Archive before going out and about and starting
a new thread. /co/ doesn't mind if we stay in
a general thread, but the biggest complaint I
see from them is that there are multiple threads.
A new general should not be made until the official
general is on the brink of autosaging into 404 hell,
or is at the image limit (150 pics). Once a new one
is established, it should be posted at the end of the
old general and everyone needs to herd themselves to
the next.
Obviously trolls & haters cannot be helped.
New System: When the old general thread dies, the
general thread image is to be deleted and placed
onto the new one. Old general will be archived.

Its been said multiple times over the past three months, its the reason the show doesn't have continuation between episodes, like the episode after Swarm of the Century, having background shots of the town being repaired, or story arcs that are done over multiple episodes (with the exception of the first two episodes). Hub basically wanted stand alone episodes they could play when they wanted to.

Pretty much this. A trip is a tool, if you are using it as anything else you are an attention whore, and nothing less. Its useful for verifying who did what, or is going to do what, or to verify a person answering questions is who he or she is supposed to be. All valid and interesting points. I personally started using this trip in Pokemon General back pre /vp/ so that I could identify myself among the mass of other people looking for trades and battles. I ended up leaving it on after /vp/ was made, not sure why though.

Now I use it because I write stuff for various boards and shows/games. I like it when people are able identify me as the author of this piece of writefaggotry or that and be available for people to ask questions. So yeah, I may be a bit of an attention whore but then most people are, to a degree. Even anonymous trolls.

this, basically. I suspect that after the first season airs and the ratings + toy sales are really good, the hub will do two things;

1) remove the restriction on episode ordering. this is one of their star shows now, they can afford to make it hard to re-run

2) move it to a more manageable time slot. possibly saturday mornings or something
