Trixie is a classic troubled loner. Because she lives her life on the road, she is never in any one place long enough to form any lasting or meaningful relationships. This has gone on to the point where she has almost entirely forgotten how. It is likely that something in Trixie's past led her to choose this lifestyle. She may have been deeply hurt by someone emotionally in the past, or has simply always been a loner with little emotional contact. Given her personality, the latter seems more likely. Trixie has accustomed herself to needing the admiration of whatever fans she can garner at her shows. This is why she enjoyed playing off of Snips and Snails the way she did. In her mind, this is what she's built up as a feeling of "love" or "caring"; the fleeting admiration of whatever gullible fans she can get. She needs those cheers now to feel loved, since she doesn't know how to earn the real thing anymore. If anyone did ever show Trixie any kindness or friendship, she would mostly likely just feel threatened or frightened to accept it.

There is strong evidence to suggest Gilda wasn't always the way she is now. Her lasting friendship with Rainbow Dash seems to indicate that she was once a more positive person overall. At first glance, Zecora seems fine compared to Gilda and Trixie, but in reality Zecora is a unique case. They'd better, or I'm going to pitch a shit. Snails returned (in the background anyway) and his core design is arguably fuck-awful. He's supposed to be comedy relief, but falls horridly flat at it. He is visually unappealing as well, unlike Gilda & Trixie who have real flare to their looks, making his case even worse.

Gilda & Trixie's core designs on the other hand are excellent. They did exactly what they were meant to do and they did it well: stir up some shit. Gilda is a possessive ultra-lesbian with a serious attitude problem. Trixie is a haughty little priss with a severe case of USI. You can love them as characters and hate them as "villains" at the same time, on equal levels.

Well, this has got me a bit inspired.

I may just go ahead and turn some of these into fics. Although I didn't say it (because TV synopses do not work like that) I did have an idea for the larger plot of the three-parter. But if someone beats me to it, that's cool too. I have other ideas.
