For me, the very first episode I ever saw in its entirety was Swarm of the Century (I came in VERY late). Near the end of that episode, after everything has failed and fallen apart around her, Twilight finally snaps and starts giving orders to noone in particular while everyone else is screaming:

That was one of my favorite episodes. Twilight was incredibly cute, you got to see Rarity being an OCD bitch and since it was interesting to see just three of the ponies examined in a closed-off situation. I wish there were more episodes like that, seeing how specific ponies within the main cast act with eachother one on one. I don't think I really had a deciding moment. The show was just fun and I enjoyed watching it. I started watching it two weeks ago today and started with episode one. The only thing I had seen prior to that was the No Fear song posted on /f/.

As for why I started watching it... well, I consider myself to be a fairly open minded person and I never feel right just disregarding a show without even having watched it. So I gave it a try. I didn't know just how badly I had fallen for it until I started writing fan fiction for it.

I DID just show my former girlfriend (I wouldn't call her an ex, but I've been friend zoned for the time being) Bridle Gossip as the price for letting her borrow my copy of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I think she was hooked as soon as Flutterguy opened her mouth. And now she understands why I like it.

Understand the moral backbone of the story Lauren trying to establish. Gilda represents the "Bad" group of friends that one might come in contact with through out someones life. RD's reaction to her attitude wasn't exactly warm milk and cookies, but for her to just go along someone's action just to preserve an inappropriate friendship would show that it is okay to not take correct actions during those situations.
