WHY ISN'T IT THE ELEVENTH OF FEBRUARY

I don't have much expectations on content, but I'm hoping that this episode is a step up in quality, back to the Dragon Shy, Applebuck, Winter Wrap Up tier.

Call of Cutie was cute and had it's moments, but several spots in the episode flirted dangerously with cliche, or tasted like diabetes

I'm so sad there hasn't been a new episode since early january.

So, uh. I went to McDonald's today.

I managed to get Pinkie Pie, but it was a hassle. The lady at the register had no idea what I was talking about, so she passed me on to her supervisor, who passed me on to the manager, who told me they weren't allowed to sell the toys until tomorrow. Bluh bluh Florida. I eventually pleaded with him that it was my sister's birthday tomorrow (I don't have a sister, and I turn 20 tomorrow), and he relented and went into the storage to check for pony toys. All this happened while one of the hottest girls I've seen in a while stood next to me and stared, and trying not to laugh.

Eventually, the manager found that they only had Applejack and Pinkie Pie. I wanted to get Celestia, but oh well. Pinkie looks okay...from one angle. Her other side gives her far more hair than she does in the show, and it completely covers the left side of her face. And from the front, she kind of looks like a hairy pink duck.

For one of the cards, I wanna do Deadpool combing a little Pony toy's mane (for copyright reasons I can't actually have him call it by name). I'm thinking Rarity, and he says "I don't care what anyone thinks, they're just jealous of your mane."

Or Pinkie Pie, and he says "Oh Pinkie, YOU are so random!"

I'm leaning towards the latter because the card is kinda small and the first text is kind of wordy.

I thought the prologue did a good job of dropping a pretty massive and direct hint as to the reason behind everything. Celestia was undertaking a long term pony breeding project referred to as the "vessel project", and upon the selection of Twilight Sparkle remarked how purple was a garish color, but that she had spent long enough in white. Celestia had used magic to have Twilight bred as a suitable body for her to take over when the time was right. As Twilight had no parents, she was raised by Celestia and indoctrinated in doing exactly what she had to for Celestia's plan to come to fruition. She did it because she was conditioned to, its all she knew. I am guessing that once Twilight had the elements, Celestia would play her ace and take over the new princess's body and live another thousand years.

I bet there IS something to the 4 stars that while layed out in the world building of the show, may never get addressed. If you check out the butt symbol of the unicorn artist who gets apple-faced by apple bloom in call of the cutie, he has a mark very similar to twilight's. The only difference aside from color is that his "starburst" is surrounded by 4 stars, rather than twilights 5. I would not be surprised if the starburst is a symbol for magic, and that there may be more than one type of it.

That premise is promising, but in light of that the rest of the fanfic is disappointing. Really, did all the main cast save for Fluttershy had to die? I mean, it'd be cool if it had gone in-depth into Twilight's ming and show some conflict between her friendship and Celestia's brainwashing. In fact, I'd rather read a fic about Twilight's rebellion against Celestia than just her killing her friends. That was dumb, imo.
