Night had fallen on Sweet Apple Acres. The Apple family farm house was winding down from their busy day. Applejack was had just gotten done saying goodnight to her younger sister, Applebloom and she was heading towards the stairs. The events of the day were casually reflecting in her thoughts. There wasn't much to to them really; just the daily chores and going with Applebloom into town for some groceries before lunch. Big Macintosh had remarked about how his food had funny taste to it. Her's had was just fine, so she didn't what he was talking about. There as also when she ran into Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash leaving the farm when Applejack was returning. She asked them what their were doing and they told not to worry about it as the ran off.

Trixie is a classic troubled loner. Because she lives her life on the road, she is never in any one place long enough to form any lasting or meaningful relationships. This has gone on to the point where she has almost entirely forgotten how. It is likely that something in Trixie's past led her to choose this lifestyle. She may have been deeply hurt by someone emotionally in the past, or has simply always been a loner with little emotional contact. Given her personality, the latter seems more likely. Trixie has accustomed herself to needing the admiration of whatever fans she can garner at her shows. This is why she enjoyed playing off of Snips and Snails the way she did. In her mind, this is what she's built up as a feeling of "love" or "caring"; the fleeting admiration of whatever gullible fans she can get. She needs those cheers now to feel loved, since she doesn't know how to earn the real thing anymore. If anyone did ever show Trixie any kindness or friendship, she would mostly likely just feel threatened or frightened to accept it.

Anyone who says writing is easy is a dumbass. Sure, any idiot can plop down a bunch of words to tell a story, but you need to have an actual understanding of how words work to write something that develops an emotional response besides "kill it with fire".

writing is the kind of thing a lot of people can convince themselves they can do well, because it's harder for the author to really see their flaws.

when you're drawing it's easy to be able to point and see "oh, that foot is on backwards" or "oh, that's not how hands look when they're clasped".

that's why I think a lot of pseudo-artsy high school kids who want to think they're talented are more attracted to writing, be it lame stories or bad poetry. they can't see that backwards foot and realize they're doing something wrong.

That Applebloom in trouble piece took me three day to iron out before i posted it. I'll grant that fan fiction is nerdy as shit and fairly low art form, but for me at least, I've wanted to be writer for years and now i find an outlet the sharpen my claws. I belt out a paragraph about a horse squirting blood out of cunt and the reaction i got was enough to say that maybe i do have a talent. If somebody doesn't like what i do, then fuck, I'll try again.
