And now to review the entire thing as a whole.

Undoubtedly, the first two parts were the best. They were subtle and emotional, and the twist ending of the first part caught EVERYPONY off guard. However, after part two they seemed to take a down turn. The ideas on how to severe the elements became less creative, Twilight was flanderized into a psychopath the ENTIRE time instead of presenting a kind front during the final three parts and the ending didn't feel like it had much closure.

You started VERY strong, but at the half way point it felt like you were running on fumes. Maybe longer stories like this aren't your thing (the shorter, one shot stuff I've read of yours, like the Last Free Ponies thing, were brilliant), but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

tl;dr: You started strong, but finished with a whimper instead of a bang. The earlier chapters were high quality, but starting in chapter 3 they started descending into average quality.

I think most of the complaints are just because of the shock factor. After the first 2's "WHAT THE FUCK" wore off, it began to simply come down to the story. My favorite severing part is the ending, simply because it wasn't predictable, and it had Fluttershy kicking ass with Spike.

I liked the second half better. There's only so much emotionally-charged punches in the gut one can take before not feeling them anyone. Instead of having feelings of sadness and mourning for the deaths of her friends, you take satisfaction that they are gradually catching onto her shit. The reader is more susceptible to being in a state of suspense as to whether or not karma will catch up to her, and if so, how? You can only toy with a single emotion so much before it becomes played out.

So, am I led to believe Twilight feels bad for killing her friends? Why didn't you indicate that before, in previous parts? Why does she do it anyway? What's her motivation? Why does she need all that power? Why does she listen to Celestia? You have a good narrative style, but lack structure. Too many holes and not enough characterization. The whole thing feels kind of pointless. What's the theme/idea behind this? You have to think of those things beforehand, otherwise the story feels unfulfilling and empty.

But, as I said, I really like your style, it reads easily and keeps me interested. Keep up the good work!

He said theres a lost of guides on the internet for styling the hair. although, you'll need to remove the hair and put in blond ones to get the right color.

For the body/head, you just need to mix/match the head for the eye shape you want to the body type you want (I think he used Fluttershy for Derpy) and repaint it.

Good ending to a great story. I actually feel chapter five was the weakest part, but that's okay. Endings are a bitch, especially for serials. And the fight was pretty epic.

I also read part four for the first time right before. Jesus that was visceral. I have a very hard time being freaked out, but the descriptions of Rarity's injuries really got to me. You should write horror.

My only major complaint is that we never find out WHY Celestia wants Twlight to attain so much power in the first place. Faithful student or not, most evil overlords would not think it wise to go around granting their underlings power equal to theirs.

One of the key points of the fic is that you have to use the opposing force to sever the element from the host. It seems clear to me that, in HFPS's grimdark ponyverse, Celestia was Twilight's mentor for apotheosis before the threat of Nightmare Moon ever came to light. I'm guessing Celestia told her there would be an important test on the book that leads up to episode one's opening.

As far as Twilight's motivation, remember how Anakin was sucked in by Palpatine: a promise of being able to prevent or undo the death of a loved one. Twilight doesn't seem to love power for power's sake, as most evil villains do nowadays, as evidenced by the line about how she hopes the spirits of the other ponies can forgive her, as it was for the greater good.

HFPS, I really enjoyed your fanfic. The first piece kicked me in the gut when I first read it earlier this week. I must confess, I read part 3 before part 2, so it spoiled some of the tension you were trying to build.

I only have two suggestions:
I think you should mention Applerush's maiden name earlier in part 2.
I think adding a little more explanation in part 3 would up the horror a bit: why did she do this? Why must she end the laughter?

I am very happy that I did get what I wanted as a resolution, but not in exactly the way I wanted so I'm going to have to think more on how I want my fanfic to go.

I'm one who thought they got more interesting as time went on. The first one killed me emotionally, and I've been trying to figure out why and could probably write a sizeable chunk of text on that. But that's not what I'm here to do.

Despite the first two being more depressing, things got more interesting after those as Twilight started to have a harder time doing what needed to be done, and as ponies seemed to actually be getting wise to her crap.

On the other hand, I'll echo some of the others and wish we got some explanation on why Twilight wanted this power so badly. You had Twilight *say* she wasn't doing anything personally, and you had her think to herself that she did wish it didn't have to be done. Nevertheless I didn't feel it. She never seemed emotionally conflicted whenever the time came to do the deed.

People's voices change A LOT when singing. It's not always obvious, especially not to the singer. But it comes out very clearly when recorded, which is why sometimes shows use different actors for singing voices.

Many shows actually hold separate casting calls for the speaking and singing voice, with separate auditions which may not even be held on the same day. So to be Rainbow Dash's speaking and singing voice, Ashleigh Ball may have had to pass TWO auditions.
