01/13/11(Thu)16:26 No. 22591778 Hey, bronies, back from a long shift at the coffee house, got some tales to share. We had a few customers early on in the morning, most of them coming in for a cup of joe to get them going for the day, like Mr. Cake, who likes a dark roast with his morning doughnut, and the wonky-eyed mail-mare who orders her latte with “extra hardwood”. I'm still not sure what that means, but I throw almond crumbs on top and give her a muffin and she seems pretty happy. Around nine o'clock, Twilight dropped in with her little assistant dragon carrying a few books. You know, the purple on who talks a lot? I didn't even know her name til that whole Ursa Major thing, but after the way she handled Winter Wrap Up last year, it's hard to forget her. I've heard she's apprenticed to the Princess herself. Nice to see the notoriety hasn't gone to her head. “Hey, Brewer, how are you?” She said with that college-filly smile. “Not bad, just waitin' for the rush. What're we making for you today?” She hummed and looked over the big menu board next the counter. Apparently there isn't a small-town coffee shop in Canterlot, and the mare's been going through every single drink on the menu, trying something different every visit. “I'd like the chai latte, with soy milk, I think.” “Ah, good choice; fresh soy from the farm east of Ponyville, and fresh chai tea shipped in just yesterday. It'll be right up” “Thanks, Brewer.” “Uhm, Twilight...” The dragon kid poked her on the shoulder. “Oh! And a hot chocolate for Spike.” “Sure thing, comin' up!” She paid and left a coin in the tip jar while I made their drinks. I thanked them, and they settled down with a stack of books and a heap of scrolls. College girls, right? Didn't really have time to ask what they were studying, our daily bushel of apples was coming in the front door ***
