Are we really saying AJ is a bitch? What for, the whole Twilight thing? Twilight broke the rules of the farm, rolled AJ in a ball of snow and set the entire day's work back with an avalanche ALL because Twilight broke the rules while knowing better. AJ didn't know Twilight was already at the end of her rope, and was justified at being angry. In fact, I give AJ a lot of credit for not seriously flipping out, and only telling Twilight that she dun wrong. As soon as Twilight started to cry, you can see AJ immediately regretted what she said, as well.

As for fluttershy's animals, the whole killing animals thing was just lack of organization. She knew only her goals and not what anyone else needed. And there are a lot of reasons on why she might have pushed for the melting anyways: to make Fluttershy increase her pace, believed FS was being too cautious and the animals would be fine, ranked feeding the village over the safety of animals, she also dedicates herself to a task to a fault in stubbornness. Could have been trying to get her task done by any means necessary.

But if any pony needs her, she's the first to jump in. She gave up her ticket first, she risked her own life for Twilight, twice, saved the city despite how busy she was in applebuck season, tried to help out friends rather than flake out despite being severely sleep deprived. Compared to Gilda who is the first to jump in to take things from others.

Are we really trying to make out AJ to be a bitch on level with that griffon?

Well, I have a Bamboo Fun (They were sold out of Basics at the time), which costs about $25 extra over the basic model, although it's mostly just useless crapwear packed in with it that you'll never use. The basic model works just as well, for about twentyfive dollars less, although one of my internet friends who has Basic tells me the eraser side of the tablet pen doesn't have pressure sensitivity, whereas the Fun does.

anyway, tl;dr it doesn't really matter, just get either the Basic or Fun as they're basically the same, and then it only matters what size you want.

Works like photoshoop, but its free. All you need is a scanner/tablet. Both are going to be kinda expensive if you dont know that you are going to continue drawing. I'd suggest you just do work in gimp with a mouse, its not as comfortable as a tablet or pencil/paper(I've heard it compared to drawing with a rock) but you can get pretty good with it if you practice. I, like you, have no artistic talent, but I've caught myself doodling constantly and was in your predicament till I found gimp. Anyway, I hope this helps you somewhat.

This is also true. The 4x5 is okay if you're drawing in a program like Flash or Illustrator or something, where you can fix the lines after the fact, but a slightly larger tablet is waaaay better for getting lines right the first time. Still really finicky, but it's better. Paint Tool SAI has pretty decent line smoothing, though. It's not free, exactly, but there is a trial. And a crack.
