Celestia/Luna are a true fae (a young one, though).
Equestria is her domain in the hedge, which explains why she can control the weather/solar cycle there.

I'm hoping for a Luna episode soon.

Luna is depressed, she has a hard time accepting her new life after all that she's done. Luckily Celestia knows the perfect filly for the job and asks twilight to teach Luna a little about friendship.

What follows is a series of uncomfortable moments with the main cast. Who forgive her but she obviously isn't ready to accept forgiveness. Its the side cast that helps her out in the end. Spike, the eternally annoying and immature little brother, actually has the gall to play a practical joke on a princess. Everyone laughs, including Luna who actually thought it was hilarious. Big Mac meets her in the orchard and gives her an apple when he notices that she's hungry. Apple bloom and company zoom by off to some kid adventure to find their cutie marks, and Zecora offers some sage insight on her inability to accept others friendship. In the end rather than a letter from Twilight to Celestia, its Luna writing a letter to her sister, saying she sees why Twilight is her favorite student and saying she's going to stay in ponyville for a little longer than planned.

We don't need more Luna.

She's a dumb filly that can stay alone on the moon for all I care.

I don't think it's that we don't like Gay shipping - personally I'm all for it. It just doesn't happen very often because for one, the female gender is much more prominent in Ponyville, and for two, the only times anyone has done any gay shipping it hasn't been depicted very well.

I think that the Big Mac and Caramel ship that someone tried to do earlier COULD have been kind of cute, but he just didn't do a very good job of showing it, and /co/ is known for being kind of snobby about art. It seems some are symbolic, and some are really literal. I guess it depends. Dash fell in love with racing, but her cutie mark isn't about racing, it's about speed generally. So even though she's stopped racing and is more into stunts now, the mark is still applicable.

I think you get something related more to your personality, and ponies tend to find symbolism after the fact. I don't think Pinkie Pie has any particular affinity for balloons or flight, for instance.

Pretty much this. I still like the threads. They're fun, generally friendlier than other /co/ threads, and have a good sense of community and creativity. A lot of fun stuff goes down in these. I guess if your patience for shipping is low then you might not feel the same, though. Can't argue with that. But shipping is almost inevitable in every fandom. You just roll with it.
