I bet Griffons in the MiF universe have hard lives. Very solitary and lonely from the start, with parents playing favorites with their children to pick the strongest of their offspring. Nothing like the friendship and kindness that ponies grow up with.

Gilda, being the strongest and best flyer of her roost, was sent to Junior Speedster Camp. Her making friends with Dash was a bit of an anomaly. She managed to connect with Dash do to their flying skills, and had an actual friendship, probably Gilda's first friend ever. Gilda was able to let down her Griffon habits around Dash, but not around other people. Which is was caused her to be a major jerk in Ponyville. She wants friends, but with the exception of Dash, can't let down her defenses built up from Childhood. Because if a Griffon is doing something nice to you, it's probably planning to stab you in the back.

see from them is that there are multiple threads.

A new general should not be made until the official

Actually, we've had conversations, drawing, and writing jump between threads to keep them alive when a general thread dies.

We make general threads because apparently even seeing a single pony thread gets certain /co/mrades up in arms over an otherwise insignificant occurrence.

If we had a thread for each and every pony topic, /co/ would be flooded, all threads would be troll threads, and the entire board would be brought down to the level of /a/ or /d/. We don't want that. We LIKE /co/. It's a great place, and when you aren't all being buttmad about seeing threads, it's a ton of fun to be around here for the other threads which are often hilarious and awesome.

We're doing everything we can to try and keep the pony talks where they belong, in their own threads, and not just flood the board like a bunch of inconsiderate trolls.

Do you see the problem here? The MLP General is currently the best solution. It allows for MLP discussion on /co/ with the minimum number of threads. If people were to make specific MLP threads, /co/ would most likely drown in MLP.

That's why MLP has a general. That's why Homosuck has a general. The fanbases are obsessive and it's best to keep them in one thread.
