You manage to get a good hit into it, whatever it is. You scrape its leg, and take a good chunk of it with you too.
Officer Siren manages to kick it in the face as it leans down to try to nurse its wounds. A kick snap of her hind legs sends the creature flying backwards. It picks itself up, and takes off back to the woods.
"WhatwasthatApplebloomareyouokayOfficerareyouokaydidiforgettobuyjuice!" You yell out loud at no one in particular. Or at least at the two ponies with you.
"Calm down, sug'. The beastie is gone, thanks to your help." A quick smile comes on her face as she smiles at you, which quickly does a 360 degree turn as she frowns towards Applebloom, the little roublemaker, but quickly returns as a reassuring smile. "Honey, what were you doing at this time of night in such a dangerous place? Your folks would be awfully worried if anything happened to you."
With that, Applebloom's eyes grew three times larger. She teared up, exclaiming: "I just wanted to take care of the little critters, like Fluttershy." She exclaimed, amidst her tears. "I found it, and I was feeding it, and I didn't expect it to attack me!"
Her tears flowed like Niagara falls, and almost as loud. Officer Siren did her best to reassure her, and then you realized that getting them across the river right now would be somewhat dangerous. You invite them to stay in your house for the night.
