“Oh, there he is,” she muttered to herself, admiring the large red pony from afar. He grunted as he carried the yoke of buckets filled to the brim with apples back to the barn. She sighed and looked down, only then realizing how high she was up in the tree. She didn’t like the shaking feeling she was getting from the branch either. On the ground, she saw a little flicker of white. She frowned solemnly at the bunny below her. “Oh, Angel. How could I ever ask him? I just know he’ll… he’ll…” She squeaked, unable to finish the sentence. The rabbit simply stared at her disapprovingly and hopped away. “Angel?” She asked, calling out to the small creature scampering off. She leaned in his direction when she heard a large cracking noise.
The next thing she knew, she was on her back, looking up at the sky, a mess of pain. “…Ow…” she groaned, her back hurting immensely. She heard trotting, and gasped as she saw a large, dark figure above her. She shut her eyes, afraid as to who this mysterious thing might be. She grew less tense, however, as she felt herself being lifted up to be leaned against the tree trunk for support.
“You alright there, li’l pony?” She heard the deep, southern baritone ask. She opened her eyes to find him there, standing in front of her.
“Oh, hello, Big Macintosh,” she muttered, cursing herself for having such a small voice. For being so timid. “Thank you for helping me…” Big Mac smiled down at the pegasus. |
