Despite the previous, and mostly accurately description that aligned her up with being cold with fear, there was something moving on her. Something warm. A tear on the eye. A small one, one that wouldn't be noticed with Pinkie Pie's usual display of happiness and activity. She remembers that night, that night that began who she was. She remembers the unicorn, bearing a resemblance to Twilight, who had accidentally released a parasprite during an experiment. The unicorn tried to prevent lost of food and property damage by turning the parasprites into cannibals, but something went wrong again for the unicorn, and for all of Coltsberg. The parasprites didn't want to eat each other, they wanted to feast on meat, and the most available meat... was from ponies. Pinkie Pie remembers that Coltsberg was set on fire that night, both literally and figuratively. She can only think of that night in particular when she thinks of Coltsberg, being held by her mother, a professional pegasus athlete, as they flew away from the burning city, while her father, a creative pony inventor, went to get the rest of the family that survived, which was only her grandmother. She remembers her mother being attacked, with two parasprites eating her eyes, causing her to hit a wall in an alley, and she fell to the ground, but managed to posture herself in such a way that she would take the majority of the hit to the ground, saving her daughter at the cost of her own life. |
