In that case, I would say yes. But you have to admit that they have no reason to use those powers unless some apocalyptic evil force arise (see Night Mare Moon).
It's not the kind of thing you use every time you encounter some minor annoyances, and surely not for the mundane problems encountered by the main ponies after the two parter.

Furthermore, and this is only a conjecture, maybe the elements of harmony can be used only once by the bearer of their power.
But this idea is based off the fact that Celestia didn't prepare herself to use them against NMM, knowing of her impending return, and it can be easily be debunked if we take in consideration that maybe Celestia prepared all this to teach the value of friendship to Twilight Sparkle.
We still don't know why she would do all this, but it could be explained in the future, who knows.

Although the larger bulk of 4chan is anon, it's still an option to have a name, contributing or not. (I know there's some namefags who contribute nothing but opinions, and they aren't universally hated.) The problem is, if you're only contributing opinions that people disagree with, they probably aren't going to respond well. And that means you just have to get used to the trolling. If you take a name, you might get trolled; if you're anon, you're much easier for people to ignore.

A Rocklord emerges from under the ground leading a powerful army of stone warriors, anouncing he's there to take over Equestria and giving the residents a full day to grab their belongings and GTFO. The Pegasi guards are uncapable to defeat the monsters, Twilght and her friends attempt to use the power of the elements of harmony to defeat the invaders- but their magic is completely harmles against them.
The invaders aren't evil. Their underground kingdom cannot support them anymore and they are forced to look for a new place to live, unfortunately Equestria's soil is the perfect place to create a new kingdom and the Rocklord cannot afford to waste more time looking for another place to live. He's a king, his people are in danger and his duty forces him to attack the ponyes homeland to save his own race.
