Reading through the threads and just now catching up. People noted earlier that Homura has been stated to be the weakest in terms of magic with only one good trick that being time manipulation.

Does anyone think that's because she remains emotionless most of the time? In an effort to spite QB and his race. She is only emotional towards Madoka, but it's apparently a very strong emotion. Could that be the basis of her time magic? Her emotions for Madoka?

However her time powers may result from a wish, but thinking about it don't the wishes and the emotions coincide?

In fact thinking about it it's magic that causes the wish and Kyubey just allows you to do it by moving your soul into a soul gem. Maybe the reason wishes can be done is because the person's emotions and feelings are perfect for that wish. It's the reason he can do any wish a person wishes for. Not because his race is all powerful, but because that person wishes for it and is also capable of magic.

Hmm, this derailed from my originally train of thought a lot.
